tempest.

from $35.00

"Thunder is good, thunder is impressive; but it is lightning that does the work." - Samuel Clemons, aka Mark Twain

“tempest.” is one of the most incredible images I’ve ever had the honor of magically capturing. After spending some time facing west towards a sunset from Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, I was leaving the parking deck and noticed a thunder storm brewing out over the Atlantic ocean on the eastern horizon. As I watched the storm, I realized at how much I didn’t know about shooting lightning. Somehow — with a bit of luck and lots of prayer — managed to capture the scene at 1/320th of a second.
